Santa Jack comes to visit

Jack came to visit on Christmas as Santa.  Isn't he cute?  We had a great Christmas!!!

Laura's Boo-Boo's

On tuesday afternoon Laura fell down the stairs that were covered in ice. She hit her back and her leg on the edge of the steps. She's pretty sore.

House behind us burns

On Thursday afternoon a house on Oak Street, caddy corner to the back of Mom's house burned down. The wind was really blowing and the smoke was really thick. We were concerned about some of the trees catching fire but they didn't. The fire dept. stayed with it a long time after it burned down to assure it didn't start up again. It smouldered a long time. Laura took these pictures from our backyard.

Jack gets his shots

Jack went to the doctor Tuesday to get his shots. He was having a good time with the nurses until shot time. Then he wasn't happy at all....

Before and After - Our new double oven and cooktop

We went to a gas cooktop and a new electric oven. Now if I burn something I bake, I can't blame it on the oven. All appliances in the kitchen now match. Also the cord you see by the cooktop will go away.

We now have another electric plug underneath the cabinets. We will have to put in a small hole in the back of the counter to run the microwave cord underneath the cabinet. And we still have to get the bottom cabinet doors put on under the double oven, but we are getting there. We love the new appliances.
